how do i wire a 1000 watt High pressure sodium ballast to a 110 outlet to get 220v?

need to doublecheck a Wiring schematic to hook up a 1000w hps ballast to an existing 110 outlet to make it 220 (110 hot each slot, com. ground)

Unless the ballast transformer is made for that (120V operation), you cannot!

you need the service of an electrician
the 1000W lamp power factor is most likely too low for a regular 120V outlet with a transformer

check with the vendor for recommendations
