Why am I still blowing fuses in my boat?

I am looking for boat electrical assistance. I am trying to figure out why I keep blowing fuses. I have a hot and ground coming off my tachometer (feeding the front of the boat) which (according to what it appears the schematic suggests) is used for “accessories.” Why then whenever I try to wire it to my fuse panel it always blows the fuses? Is it getting too many amps? The battery is 875 amps and fuses are 30. Is there some sort of converter I need? It worked before.

I have nothing else wired. The main battery connections go only to the motor. I recently rebuilt this boat and the only thing (electrically) I did was run new wires from the battery forward (which are currently not connected). I don’t get why this isn’t working.

Any help would be appreciated.

Note: The boat is a 1980 Chapparl, model 194, motor is a 1983 Johnson 115 v4.

30 amp fuse is for inboard engine only not dash wiring> The hot lead is from the key switch is for guages only> Not running light or any other power supply they are powered off a fuse panel only>With switches> Seems you have a direct short in the other wiring> Or the ground might be connected to the power source>

Tachometer / RPM gauge versi advance
