Charging Circuit Question?

The car is a 95 Oldsmobile Achieva 2.3L Quad OHC Engine.

My problem is that the battery is not being charged by the alternator. The alternator has been tested and is good. The Serpentine Belt is good. The battery has been tested and is good. The only other thing is possibly Wiring. Now on this car the voltage sensing input is inside the alternator. here is no voltage on the alternator from the battery while the car is off, which there should be, hence I believe it is wiring. My question is, IS it OK to run A solid 10GA copper wire from the Battery to the Alternator…It seems as though that’s whats happening anyone in the schematic, except for a stop to the solenoid/starter. So….what do you think???
I know I SHOULD fix it properly….but I have to be able to go to work…I’ll fix it properly later, I need it to function for now.

The best idea is to find out why it isn’t charging and fix the problem rather than running any new cables on a hunch.
