Solar Regulator Schematic

I am going on a week long mtn. bike tour. Wondering about Schematics for solar digital camera battery charger?
I already have a flexible solar array that can hang from my backpack. I am looking for control circuits that can effectively charge a digital point & shoot camera battery.
My array is 1×2′ and puts out 12 volts and up to 400 milliamps at full output about mid-day. I designed and soldered together a regulator to regulate it to 6 volts. But I need something better and more precisely regulated.
My battery is a Li-Ion 3.7V with a 1700 mAh capacity.
Thanks!
I think you’re going about this the wrong way. Instead, simply get a cigarette lighter output for your solar array.
Then, get a cigarette lighter adapter for your camera battery charger. Plug the charger into the lighter adapter and you’re set.

The reason you’re going to have trouble with your plan as described: Li-ion batteries require specialized circuits to properly charge. Otherwise, overcharging them can cause them to overheat, burst, or even explode or catch fire.
