Rail Gun schematic… Correct?

This is a rail gun. Switches are missing in this diagram (i.e. this is basically a “basic” diagram).

Is this diagram correct? If its not correct, can someone please fix it? The LED is there so that when the caps are done charging, it would light up.

Also, what’s the Faraday rating (in uF) for the reservoir capacitor?
And what type of inductor am I looking for?

P.S. What type of relay am I looking for, to charge/fire this thing? If possible, please help me search Mouser… :/

diodes have to be rated at 800 volts, twice your value, plus margin. 1N4008 will work.

You are missing the coil that drives the projectile, the most important part.

You don’t need the inductor.

Caps should all be 350 volts.

300 ohm resistor should be 10 or 20 watts.
