Power Inverter Schematics

How can I build a 120v ac to 12v ac power supply?

I’m wanting to build a power supply/inverter for some of the projects that i have that use lower powered ac voltages such as some hand wound transformers that I made. I am a beginner in electronics so if you can, nothing really that fancy. I know how to read circuit Schematics, diagrams, the symbols and the lot. I’m not really concerned with how much wattage it will get. I don’t need anything high…just 12v ac (or around there), low current, and i guess low wattage since i’m not powering anything big at all.

this is not a power supply, or is it an inverter, it’s just a transformer. Buy any power transformer with a 12 volt secondary and you are all set.
