Led Flasher Schematic

Simple way to make flashing LED lights?

I just want to buy a long Bread Board and 3 rows of LED’s to put into a Costume, but I’m not a Mathematician.
I was wondering if there was an easy way to get them going and to maybe blink from left to right without hard to understand Schematics?
I just want to go to Radioshack and buy a Board, LED’s, wires and a Battery.
Plus I’m not a Programmer (plus I can’t afford any fancy program’s I don’t already own.
Any advice?
