Anyone Have a Schematic For Connecting a Marshall Amp On/Off Switch?

I have had no luck finding a repair shop out here in Fresno County. Anyone know of one or perhaps do you have a scematic for a GNH489AM-MAR Rocker Switch for an MG-100 Watt Guitar Amplifier?

The switch literally just fell open. It is still inside the chassis, the rocker came out with its guts. I would love to find a shop with parts or someone who can do the repair. The amp is a couple of years old and is out of warranty.

I appreciate it!

That’s easy to fix. The part can be found here http://www.guitarnucleus.com/gnstore/ampparts_marshall.htm#switches for about $5.00.

All you do is take off the six screws on top of the chassis and slide out the pcb. Be sure to disco the connection that leads to the speaker first. The switch has four leads connecting it to the pcb. GENTLY remove them from the switch by sliding them off. Be sure to note that the black leads are closest to the outside of the chassis.

Next squeeze the body of the switch with a pair of pliers at the top and bottom simultaneously. This will unlock it and allow it to slide forward and be removed from the pcb.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

Good luck!
