where can I find a free schematic for car coolant system?

The antifreeze is pouring in inside the car and onto the floor mats. I want to see exactly what coolant system part needs to be replaced and exactly where it is located. I can’t figure out how the antifreeze is coming inside the car. And I need to find out the cost of this type of repair. Or can I fix it with duct tape or electrical tape?

Depends on the car, usually that’s the heater core that has sprung a leak. The heater core on most vehicles is in the dash on the passenger side. It could also be one of the hoses going to the heater core, there will be two hoses, one flowing in, and the other flowing out. Depending on the car this could be very inexpensive, <$100, or very very expensive >$1000. Parts will only be about $50, labour is what is going to kill you here. If you can live without a heater you can get under the hood and put a splice in the heater hoses, looping them together, this will bypass your heater core and stop the leak. You wont have heat anymore but it should only take 20 minutes and cost about $3 for a hose splice.
