Slide Pots with Four (4) terminals…How to connect?

I’m making a graphic equalizer and the slide pot that i bought have 4 terminals. I think two of these terminals are the same since they are labeled the same, and i think these two terminals are the wiper terminals. My question is how should I connect this slide pot to my circuit since it has four terminals while the pot in my schematic only has 3 terminals? Should I connect/join the 2 alike terminals or should I leave one hanging? or both of my ideas are wrong and you have a better suggestion?

First you have to find out why it has 4 terminals.
It could also be that the 4th terminal is shielding, to avoid hum in your amplifier, in which case it goes to “ground” ( 0 Volt).
Take an Ohm meter, and measure systematically between pairs of terminals while moving the slide.
If 2 of the terminals are indeed identical (like the “wiper”), then it is a matter of your board layout which one you use.
But then leave the other one open.
Are you sure this is not a Stereo pot, with just 2 variable resistors in it (not a 3-point voltage divider)? That would also explain the 4 terminals.
