these are the ground symbols right?

that those little black bars are a signal to go to the ground pin? plus on the input for the mp3 player, that IS the pin’s 1 and 5 right? the ones with the 2.2uf filter caps on them??
i know this sounds really really stupid but i’m just taking my precautions.

Yes, they are a connection to ground, or a common point.
I have no idea what the pins are on your MP3 player, how could I know that? But I do know that this amp would be connected to the OUTPUT of the player, not the input. In other words, the input to the amp is connected to the output of the player.
You do know that this will amplify one channel only, this is a mono bridge amp.
